1. About Dentella and these Terms
dentella.app and the associated patient and clinic applications (together, “Dentella” or the “Platform”) are developed, operated and owned by Dentra Connect (“Dentra Connect”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. What Dentella provides
Dentella is a technology platform that connects patients with dental clinics and online dentists across India, enabling appointment booking, online consultations, health-record management, reminders and related services. Dentra Connect provides the Platform only. All clinical and dental services are provided by independent dental clinics and registered practitioners who are solely responsible for the care they deliver. Dentra Connect does not practise dentistry and does not provide medical advice.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or use the Platform through a parent or legal guardian) to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Medical disclaimer
The Platform is not a substitute for professional dental or medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified practitioner with any questions about a medical condition. In a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
5. Clinic subscriptions and payments
Dental clinics may subscribe to paid plans. Subscription fees are stated on the billing page, are charged in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive or exclusive of GST as indicated at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay; Dentra Connect does not store full card details. Subscriptions and any refund or cancellation terms are as described at the time of purchase. Patients use the Platform free of charge unless otherwise stated.
6. Online consultations
Patients may request paid online (tele-dentistry) consultations with registered dentists listed on the Platform. The consultation fee is shown before you send a request and is collected by Dentella (through our payment partner, Razorpay) only after the dentist accepts your request; until then no payment is taken. Consultations are conducted through the Platform. If a dentist fails to attend a paid consultation, the fee will be refunded to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Consultations and any prescriptions issued during them are subject to the limits of the Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020 — certain medicines cannot be prescribed remotely, and the dentist may advise an in-person visit where teleconsultation is not appropriate.
7. Clinics and practitioners
Clinics and practitioners using the Platform confirm that they hold, and will maintain, all registrations and licences required to practise dentistry in India. Clinics are responsible for the clinical records they create and maintain on the Platform, for obtaining any consents required from their patients, for the accuracy of the information on their public pages, and for complying with the record-keeping and professional obligations that apply to them. Dentra Connect does not supervise, direct or control the clinical services provided by any clinic or practitioner.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Platform, including by attempting to access data you are not authorised to access, disrupting the service, reverse-engineering it, scraping it, submitting false or misleading information, or using it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its software, design, branding and content, is owned by Dentra Connect and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The “Dentella” name and logo are marks of Dentra Connect. No rights are granted to you except the limited right to use the Platform in accordance with these Terms.
10. Privacy
We process personal data, including health information, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). Dentella will never sell, rent or trade your personal data — including patient health data — to anyone. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand how your data is handled.
11. Account closure and termination
You may stop using the Platform and request closure of your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us. On closure, we delete or anonymise your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, except where clinical records must be retained by us or by your clinic under applicable law and professional regulations. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms; where practical, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach first.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dentra Connect is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for the acts, omissions or clinical decisions of independent dental providers. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Platform is limited to the amounts you have paid to Dentra Connect in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Dentra Connect against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or — for clinics and practitioners — the clinical services you provide.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Platform or by email. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with them.
16. Severability and waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. A failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
